My Master's thesis focuses on the experimental monitoring of carbon-ion beams during hadrontherapy treatments, with the aim of developing and characterizing innovative techniques for treatment monitoring and delivered dose verification.

  • Short CV: I earned my Bachelor's degree in Clinical Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome in 2024 and I am currently completing my Master's in Biomedical Engineering, which included an Erasmus period at ISEP (Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto) from September 2025 to February 2026. My experimental thesis focuses on developing and testing a novel scintillating fiber detector for radiotherapy monitoring, specifically in proton and carbon ion treatments. I am involved in the construction and characterization of the prototype and in experimental measurements using an ultra-high-sensitivity scientific camera, with the ultimate goal of verifying in real-time that the beam accurately targets the patient.

  • Short CV: After graduating in Clinical Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome in 2024, i continued my academic path by pursuing a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering at the same university. My thesis is part of the “TRONDHEIM” project, focused on developing wearable gamma-ray detectors for continuous monitoring of patients undergoing molecular radiotherapy.

My Master's thesis revolves around the analysis of experimental proton CT data, with the aim of improving the accuracy of proton therapy by providing lower-dose treatment plans with reduced proton range uncertainties

I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering at the same university. My thesis focuses on the development of a Monte Carlo tool for improving brachytherapy treatments for pediatric retinoblastoma. I am currently working on the characterization of the radioactive source, by comparing calibration data with results of simulations of the radionuclide distribution.
